Last week, Sarah Atherton MP visited the construction site for Net World Sports' new premises to hear more about the business' growth plans and to see the work in progress. During the visit, Sarah welcomed the significant investment the company have made to Wrexham, the firm’s recent successes and the positive impact on the local economy the new premises will have.

Over the summer, Net World Sports, a Wrexham-based sports equipment firm and one of the fastest growing businesses in the UK, started work on their new £25 million warehouse in Wrexham. Founded by Alex Lovén in 2009, Net World Sports has seen huge growth over the pandemic, with revenue up by 74% and profits up by 146% year on year. Since the start of the year, the company has also employed 85 new staff members – a sign of their recent success and growth.

Since 2014, Net World Sports has been based on the Wrexham Industrial Estate, employing over 230 workers. Their new 411,000 sq ft office and warehouse, one mile away from their current base on the Industrial Estate, will be their new operational base. The new premises will include a bar, gym, football pitch and running track.
